About Sarah

I am Sarah Murtada and am excited to be your advocate. My passion for advocating for those in the criminal justice system began when I worked to exonerate individuals falsely accused in the prison system in Denver, Colorado. I earned my degree in Neuroscience from Regis University in Denver, Colorado, and then moved to Alaska to work in the medical field in the North Slope Borough. I quickly fell in love with Alaska and knew I wanted to return after completing my studies at the University of St. Thomas School of Law in Minneapolis, Minnesota. During law school, I focused on warrant reform and changing policies in the criminal justice system to ensure that everyone's civil rights are protected. I began working for Denali Law Group during my first year of law school and discovered my passion for criminal defense. After graduating, I returned to Alaska to continue defending Alaskans like you.
