I’m Mike Rhodes and I endeavor to serve every client I represent to the absolute best of my ability. I was born and raised in the wild Redwood Forests of Northern California. I joined the U.S. Army in January of 2001. I served 4 years as Ranger Infantryman, including two deployments during Operation Enduring Freedom. The G.I. Bill provided a top-notch education at University of Colorado, majoring in History, and graduating with Honors Distinction. I attended Creighton Law School in Omaha, Nebraska, and graduated with an area of concentration in “Criminal Law and Procedure.” While in Law School, I served as a Senior-Certified Extern with both the Iowa Public Defender Agency, and the Pottawattamie County Attorney’s office. Eager to get into court, I volunteered for, and executed multiple evidentiary hearings, jury trials, and other court matters. I served the 4th Judicial District of Iowa in two capacities: public defender, and prosecutor. Practicing in both prosecutorial and defense capacities was an invaluable experience, elucidating the various societal interests that come into play overall in a given case. It was during this experience that I resolved to practice Criminal Defense in earnest. A love for natural beauty and a sense of adventure brought me North to establish a law practice. My first 3 years in Alaska I ran my own solo practice, and volunteered to litigate cases all over the State. In a short time period, I have become quite experienced with the defense of criminal cases, Felony and Misdemeanor. Ultimately, I approach each case like it is a military operation, and strive for the best possible preparation and execution on behalf of my clients, whether I am negotiating or conducting a trial. Defending criminal cases is not only my passion, but my sole focus as a practitioner. I am here to assist you in your defense, and execute the mission to standard!
