How We Make Estate Planning Clear, Customized, and Caring
Estate planning is not just about documents—it is about protecting the people and values that matter most to you. At Denali Law Group, we serve families across Anchorage and the Mat-Su Valley with a structured, thoughtful planning process. We begin with a detailed Client Intake so you can outline your life, assets, relationships, and long-term goals. From there, we build a plan designed specifically for your family’s future, not a one-size-fits-all template.

Three Levels of Planning for Every Situation
Choose the Plan That Matches Your Needs
Choosing the right plan depends on your assets, family structure, and long-term goals. We offer three levels of planning to meet different needs.
- Level One – Family Plan (Will-Based)
A traditional will-based estate plan designed for straightforward, future-focused planning. This option may include testamentary trusts and is appropriate for individuals or families with simpler estates who still want clear legal protection.
- Level Two – Trust Plan (Revocable Trust)
Includes a revocable living trust and coordinated planning tools that help avoid probate. This structure provides asset protection planning for spouses and descendants while keeping your family out of court whenever possible.
- Level Three – Wealth Plan (Comprehensive)
Includes all Trust Plan tools plus advanced planning strategies. Options may include gun trusts, business protection strategies, LLC formation, and broader estate management coordination for more complex estates.
We formally document your chosen guardians, trustees, and powers of attorney so decision-making authority is clearly defined.
Nomination Page for Key Agents
General Power of Attorney
This allows someone you trust to handle financial and legal matters if you become incapacitated.
Advance Health Care Directives and HIPAA Waivers
You appoint medical decision-makers and provide clear instructions for care while ensuring access to necessary medical information
Personal Property Memorandum and Remembrance Instructions
This allows you to leave personal belongings and written messages in a clear, organized way.
Kids Protection Plan®
Includes guardianship documents, medical cards, and letters to caregivers so your children are protected immediately if something happens.
Additional Tools Included in Our Trust Plan
Clients who choose a Trust Plan receive expanded protections and asset coordination tools designed to keep their family out of probate court.
- Revocable Living Trust Documents
Establishes a legal framework for managing and distributing assets.
- Living Trust Summary and Trustee Affidavit
Simplifies administration and provides clarity for financial institutions.
- Asset Retitling Tools
We provide the documentation necessary to properly fund your trust.
- Pour-Over Will and Trust Registration Documents
Ensures assets not formally transferred are directed into the trust structure.
This level of planning is designed for families who want privacy, efficiency, and structured long-term management.
Common Questions About Our Estate Planning Process
What is the Client Intake?
The Client Intake is a detailed questionnaire that helps us understand your assets, family dynamics, goals, and concerns before we meet. It allows us to prepare thoughtful recommendations tailored to your situation.
Which level is right for me?
That depends on your asset structure, privacy goals, and long-term planning needs. During your consultation, we explain the differences clearly so you can make an informed decision.
Can I upgrade later?
Yes. Many clients begin with one level of planning and later expand into a Trust Plan or Wealth Plan as circumstances change.
What is the Kids Protection Plan®?
It is a structured guardianship system designed to ensure your children are never left without clear legal protection or instructions if an emergency occurs.
How do we update or review the plan?
Life changes such as marriage, new children, business ownership, or relocation often require updates. We provide review options to keep your plan aligned with your current goals.
