 I’m Richard K. Payne and I am very excited to be part of the Denali Law Group and to provide exceptional legal representation to Alaskans. I have been practicing law in Alaska for over eleven years, both as a civil litigation attorney and, most recently, as a Palmer Assistant District Attorney. I have prosecuted every conceivable type of criminal matter from multiple murders, including a double homicide, felony and misdemeanor assaults, thefts, DUIs and drug cases. As a Prosecutor, I was very fortunate to make lasting friendships and to become familiar with the District Attorney’s office personalities, policies and procedures as well as the Palmer Court System. I'm Jon Marc Petersen, and I was an Assistant District Attorney in Palmer. I had a stellar track record and handled everything from DUI’s to Homicide cases. I love being an attorney and law fascinates me. I have long had a dream to start my own practice and when the stars aligned with Richard Payne as a possible partner, I felt that the timing was right here in the Valley to begin private practice. I met Richard in the District Attorney’s office and in hindsight cannot imagine creating this firm with anyone else.
